THe freebies are great but many, like this one, leave the user wondering what they will actually be getting and how it actually works. There are any number of reasons for such things, but the bottom line is a lack of communication skills that have become increasingly absent in global society. Just because someone puts words on a website or on a readme.txt does not make them a true writer... and thus, they fail to hook, hold and educate their audience. The result is a lack of understanding and thus a quick dismissal and poor evaluation. Poor communication at any level, in any business, leads to unfulfilled goals in sales and service - meaning a higher failure / lower success rate than the business might otherwise experience. The issue of having real writers do the writing is a separate issue from the language issues and poor customer service or ill-conceived software tools.
